What years of the stangs had the 5.0's in them?

The first 5.0 was released in 1968, I think the first year was in 1975 for stangs..

what about the 1969 Boss 302? I think they used the 5.0 in a Mustang in '68 also...

5.0 started in 86-93

new body style in 94-95 still had same 5.0 engine too.

Be careful, the 302CID engine showed up in Fords in '68..
Be aware that some Fox Mustangs built from'80 -mid '83 used a 255CID (4.2) V-8 that will look the same on the outside.....
They are DOGS........
5.0 went away after '95......
But was used in same SUV type things as late as '99........

the 302 was optional in every mustang since 68 except in 74, which did not have a v8. 80 and 81 had the 255ci engines

I used the book by Al Kirschenbaum for a referance. Maybe you should get one. It's expensive but really good.
Get it from Amazon, maybe cheaperthan Borders.
I think it even has a Ford part number..

I believe you could get them from 79-81 but they became standard in the mustang GT in 1982

the 1982 5.0 had 157hp and 240ft lbs tq

the fox chassis ended in 1993 but the 5.0 was still used up untill 1995 in mustangs.

I think there were some classic mustangs also that offered the 5.0 (302)
