1989 is considered ideal (for efi) by most. it has mass air, forged pistons, tilt steering. before 89 they didnt have mass air (less performance potential), after 1989 they had airbags so no tilt steering, and in 1993 they switched to cheap cast pistons.

1992 is usually the most desireable. I'm 6'7" so I like tilt, but people pay more for an airbag car. Also, the 92 came with Pony wheels and was the first year for body color side moldings for the LX models.
