blue heater hoses really needed?

Default blue heater hoses really needed?
The blue high temp silicon radiator hoses cost twice as much as regular black ones
are they really needed or worth twice the money on a mild street app.?

Well, if its all about the look than I would just go w/ black. I think they look better than the blue ones anyway.

thanks, glad i didnt waste the extra bucks, i figured they were useless unless you were
out doing 8 hr road racing or something.

I bought the blue Goodyear kit from summit for $75, but my heater hoses looked to still be good, so I didn't bother replacing them.....
