Default So what could it be

Well my car is still overheating and leaking. We are taking it to the shop because it just doesnt seem like the radiator. Its doing other funny things. And the mechanic said it either is my radiator or a blown head gasket or something like that, which costs me 1000. The mechanic is a good friend so he wouldnt screw me over. But what kind of signs would i see if it was a blown head gasket or whatever?
