Default Simple question about manual transmissions and overdrives

First off, I would just like to say that I am trying to gather as much info about 91-92 mustangs as I can, as I'll probably be buying one within a year or so. I'd also like to state that before I made this, I did a few searches, so if the answer is on this site, I apologize.

First off, the factory 4 speed automatic came with an overdrive, which is often referred to as AOD (automatic over drive) correct?

I have to to believe that the 5 speed did not come with an OD, is this true? After looking around, I believed that they DID NOT, which would have made sense....but then I saw someone posted that the 5 speeds did have an OD. Well do they?

If not, is there a company that would make an overdrive for the 5 speed?

My plans are, once I get the car, to get 3.73 gears, victor jr heads and some weld-on subframe connectors.

for all intents and purposes, a 5 speed roughly translate into 4 gears with 5th acting as OD. Whenever im on the highway, I leave the car out of fifth if I really wanna get into it, but bump it up and over if im just cruising, trying to slow the gas consumption to an intense guzzle.

I believe that the 5th gear IS the overdrive on the manual transmission cars.

It sure as hell feels like an overdrive.

Well, with my 3.73 gears, 5th gear feels like it is just warming up. Wish I had a 6th gear in there... But yeah, the 5th gear is the OD

3rd gear in AOD ~~ 1:1 ratio ... 4th gear is OD \
\___ both are somewhere around .67:1 ratio
4th gear in 5speed ~~ 1:1 ratio ... 5th gear is OD/

So would 4.10's be overkill on mostly city driving? I wouldn't think so....since it IS city. Would this be too much shifting? I heard that 60 mph cruising would be at about 2,000 rpm....not too bad...
