the car came with an aftermarket tachometer that is installed on the right side of the dash but its not connected and the only wire that it has is the one that comes from the light. what do i need to hook it up?

need to pick up the coil.

there is more than 1 wire, could be 2 or 3

white goes to the dash lighting
green goes to the positive side of the ignition coil, or the tach signal wire on the TFI plug
black goes to a ground
red goes to a switched 12 volt source.

there is like 5 or 6 outlets on the back but there are no wires coming out of them. the wire that comes from the light has a hook on the end. where do i get the rest of the wiring?

it seems like someone ripped out the wires, the only fix is to find the manufacturer, to find out which wire went where, and take it apart and solder new wires there.

or easier, just get a new tach.
