so back to my question.. then I want to advance my timing to 14* ATDC and that is safe for a everday car (not gonna be a track queen)

It's BTDC that you set your timing. Car can't run if you put it ATDC. Yes it is clockwise (by turing it clockwise your advancing your timing BTDC).

The # marks on you balancer are BTDC, 0 would be TDC. Stock is 10* BTDC with a light, set it to 14* BTDC with a light. Using a light is the only way to set a degree of timming accuratly on you mustangs.

You can also remove the air box silincer and us a K&N filter. That will be just as good as a cone

plus, the K&N FIPK sucks in hot air, I'd just use the K&N panel filter.
