Bought my first stang on Tuesday, it ran like crazy throughout the week and then just died tonight. It turns over but no spark. It sat for 2 hours, fired up then just died again as I rolled to a stop sign. It's a 92 GT 5.0, 99,000 miles. Anyone have any ideas or similar experiences? I'm thinking distributor problem. Would love any advice. Why does the bubble always have to burst?!?!?!

the distributor module is notorious for going bad on ford 302's

i never had to do one (......knocking on wood as we speak)

but i would bet thats the issue .

You were 100% right and I can't tell ya how much I appreciate it! $37 dollars and 1/2 hour later, back on the road. So glad I didn't have to go to the expense of taking it to a mechanic.
