ive been doing a break job on my 94 gt for about a hour now, ive got the disks and new pads installed BUT i cant push the cly back in to the calaper. ive unhooked the bleeder, then unhooked the line, now ive unhooked the e break spring.

am i going to have to remove the e break cable or is there something else that im missing? also, how in the HELL am i going to get that coil spring back on

sounds like the piston is frozen up.. may need a new caliper I would take it off to the bench, crack the bleeder and see if it goes in.. if it dont then the piston is froze and the caliper needs to be rebuilt or replaced..

u did not need to remove the ebrake coil or cable just to push the piston in..

open the bleeder, and take a hand vise to the piston and clamp it see if that works

Do you have compress or screw in piston brakes?

Use a bench vice, I had that same problem when replacing the pads/rotors on my '82. The vice had enough oomph to push the piston in far enough to provide clearance.

I'm not to familiar with 94 modles, are you sure you have compress pistons? I did a brake job on a friends 95, and it had screw in pistons...

Are the rears? On my 97 I had to get a special tool that would clip in to the piston and you would the push the piston in and turn it to get it to bottom....don't loosen the bleeder or you will have to add fluid and bleed your brakes...it is really easy and the tool is like 5 bucks at any auto store.
