Default Studdering problem HELP

As of this morning, my car will star and idle for the most part good, but when I go to take off it will start to studder and miss really bad. If I just let out and get back into it softly it will go okay, but still miss if I get into at all. Then I was going and it acted like the throttle cable broke cus I would give it gas and it wouldn't rev up, almost went down a little, then it stalled. It wouldn't restart right away...let is sit for a minute and it started again....so on and so on untill I limped it home.....anyway, I put a new fuel filter in it last year so I know it isn't that...maybe a bad pump? What will a regultor do if it goes bad? Smells of gas a little...I don't know any help??

yeah you'd probably get lean codes for the KOER tests. or you might get a code indicating a short in the circuit. might give it a shot though, its free and easy. a fuel pressure guage would be a great idea. get one that will be visible while driving (cowl-mounted or in car guage) if you can afford it, but the one that mounts to the shrader valve would be good enough for your current problem. good luck

TFI? mabye, bad plug wires will make it stutter and miss when you step on it
i guess you need to see if its a fuel or spark problem first

do you mean you didn't get anything? or you got code 11 meaning everything is ok? if your CEL did not flash at all, it may not work but you can do it another way if you have a test-light or a volt meter.
