Default Complete Power Shut Off WTF

The other day i was driving to the gas satation in my 89 GT cuz i had like 1/8 of a tank and everything shut off my radio, head lights, tail lights, brake lights, turn signals etc. but my satillite radio was still on... but after i filled up everything worked again. what is the deal with this? does anyone know what could have caused this and how can i prevent this from happening again

Check your battery terminals and clean them.

and I'm guessing that your voltmeter dropped and everything electronically just died. I put in a new battery one time in the vert. Didn't get the connections tight enough and over the course of a week it had some nasty build up on it, cleaned them up, retightened the clamps, and I never had another problem again.

check the tfi module on the distributor, its common problem, the only problem is that you have to pull the dist. to get the module off to do the test. its a simple resistance test that you can find online
