Default since the search engine here doesn't really work...

I was looking for the thread about cleaning the MAF sensor but I couldn't find it and the search engine for these forums don't really work.

Anyway, I want to know if all I should clean are the two little wires on the MAF. Anything else besides that?

Thanks, that is all for now.

when you get to the bare wire elements, I just spray them with electrical contact cleaner.

Check out the Part 5 link on this article; http://www.muscularmustangs.com/maintain.php

You'll probably find the rest of the articles useful too. Basically with the MAF, usually you can just spray some throttle body cleaner on the wires and it will do a good job.

What if I use brake cleaner?

Also, is it necessary to remove the negative battery cable?

I used brake cleaner and just sprayed the censors with it. Never touched em with anything. I realized I never disconnected the negative on the battery tho. Would that have done it?

okay nevermind I fixed the problem, left the battery unplugged for 20 mins and left the driver door open for that 20 mins. everything works great.
