Hello. I'm trying to install an adj. fuel pressure regulator on my speed density '88 GT because the idle pressure is sitting at 44-46psi, idles like s#@t, smells rich, and sometimes stalls when you come to a stop or put it in park. It runs awesome once you get rolling and at WOT though. I was thinking it needs to have the idle fuel pressure lowered to cure the problem, but I honestly don't see the stock FPR! Maybe I'm looking too hard, or just an idiot, but I don't see it. Any help would be appreciated!

Pass side of the motor towards the back under the egr valve. Has a vacuum line going to it.

if it is that rich, I doubt it is the FPR, when they fail, the preasure usually drops. It sounds like it is in open loop, so, look at your MAP sensor, a vacuum leak, or a pinched vacuum line. I have had both a FPR fail, and a MAP sensor fail.
