pull tensioner off, if it has a stud on the backside to keep it in place on the bracket then drill another hole in the bracket straight across and set the pin in that hole

simply put. but it would work. you can put it at any angle depending on where you drill the hole for the pin.

the trick flow ac delete kit uses this theory. go take a look at a few pics of that. it has one large hole for the bolt then two smaller holes for the pin to go in.

Or just run the belt across the top of the tensioner pully and down. Thats all Ive done and it always works fine.

the tensoiner is still not going to pull in the right direction though. it wants to pull clock wise and i need it to pull counter clockwise

then you'll have to find another tensioner from ? and use that, you'll be suprised how many tensioners can bolt to other apps

Ran the belt this way for many years with no problems charging, cooling, or eating belts ..... 7700 rpm shifts as well. Run it the same was on my LX with no issues.

When running it like that it is pretty much just a pulley instead applying tension. March makes a kit to flip the tensioner but it makes it upside down on the LH cylinder head which looks rather ugly IMO.
