If you were in a parking lot, that is private property, not public, and the cop has no jurisdiction unless the owner or person in charge of the property prosecutes you. You cannot get a ticket later driving down the road for something that happened in a parking lot.

thats what i was kinda wondering since it is a church parking lot not a public school or something. So i bet if i talk to the owner or whoever is in charge there they may be willing to drop the charges...if they even filed any?

Joking, but if he did not have lights on you should have drove quick and then ran to the nearest MC d's and been like Bee's, bee's they were in my car. hell i do not know.

YAYER! I got it dropped today after sitting in court for 4 hours in a courttroom that was over 100* because of a broken furnace. I was the LAST person to be heard and out of 36 people only a russian guy with 2 lawyers and lil ol' me got our cases dropped. And they will NOT just drop it if a cop doesntt show up in court, they will just read his testimony which is more credible than yours. I cant believe I got it dropped, the prosecutor was all flustered and confused looking when it was dropped. ROFL GOOD STUFF!

dude, you think thats bad...i got a ticket today, 110 in a 55mph zone, with posted signs saying "double fine during working hours" it was 11:30 am so, thats working hours lol, and its $10 PER MPH over the speed limit(55mph over=$550!!) and court charges and i have a very very good chance of loosing my licence, and the Ahole that was racing meGOT AWAY!

Most states will take your licence for 6 months to a year for that. You need a lawyer. This will cost you $$$$$$ this time. May be your life the next.
