Default GOOD GOD 538.00 for a couple doughnuts????

well i fixed my front sway bar endlinks because 1 was sheared off and not connected to the sway bar. so i went to what i thought was a pretty empty parking lot and did a couple doughnuts to see what kind of difference it would make as far as roll goes...[&o] All the sudden this old man hillbilly bob comes running out and blocks the exit i was already headed for...so i went out the entrance. well i guess there was an undercover cop in a malibu on the street watching the whole thing. I got outta there and he followed me for a couple miles in somewhat heavy traffic to see if i would do it anymore (thank god i didnt) and pulled me over. Anyways i got a 538.00 2nd deg neg driving ticket for it!!! woulda gotten a criminal wreckless driving had i not fessed up but i remembered seeing his car earlier (just didnt know it was a cop...). I was thinking of trying to take it to court and hopefully he didnt show up but if the witness shows up am i screwed or does the cop HAVE to show up? maybe i will just go and see if they will lower it. there goes my headers and intake manifolds....[sm=boosign.gif]

Actually fessing up to the truth might just work in his favor. If he goes to court to see if he can get the fine reduced the prosecutor (or judge if it gets that far) might reward his honestly, especially if he has no prior convictions and explains why he did it. I don't mean pleading not guilty. Just seeing if the fine can be reduced. Again, especially if it is a first offense. That is mighty steep IMO for burning some rubber. So it might be worth a shot. JMO.

I dont know what the law is in your state, but doughnuts arent a little thing... if you avoided a reckess driving charge you are lucky... check out driving school.... maybe you can get the ticket deferred an then just eat the cost... [X(]
