Whats up all!

lookinforastang,
If I am not mistaken the difference between the two is nil. It was FORD that changed the way it rated HP. The 225 was WITHOUT any accessories in 1990. In 1991 they went to rating the engines WITH accessories hence the 205 hp rating.

no one really knows but many magazines have said that the 1993 models made the same hp as the later years, despite fords attempts to down-rate them.

many stock 5.0 HO mustangs put down around 190rwhp. with a few bolt-ons, someone put down 217 to the wheels. its in their sig.

btw i see its ur 1st post welcome to the site

anyway heres ratings for the non ho

Well who cares, because 10 hp doesn't mean squat, what matters is your times.

Wait... I just went out and looked at the 95 I bought yesterday and it has the "5.0 ho" plate on the Intake manifold any idea how this relates to other Non-ho or were they all made that way in the 94-95s?

ill tell you the diff, 87-93(fuel injected) the HO had 225 hp stock, the regular 5.0 had 175 stock, the difference is 50hp, HO = just means an additional 50 hp. now on like our 83, 84 85 and stuff like they some had 215, then like 81-82 and stuff like that had 205, if im not mistaken the 94-95 only had 215 also. to answer future questions your best years of the 5.0's were 88-89.
