4eye!...

eh i was readin that isssue of car and driver about the shelby 500 and the vette..

the editor said something about better traction off the line with weight dist close to 50\50... i dunno

as for the Vette, the transmission is located BEHIND the driver, and the Shelby has so many custom parts, that it can not be compaired to any other Mustang

Yep, start removing stuff from the front end. For about every 34# off the front, 1% change in front to rear ratio.
Lotsa stuff can be removed if you are building a racer.
I've gooten about 162# off the front of my '84 but I don't really have a way of knowing what the differance in the stock heads/intake and the aluminum ones I've got now.
BTW, HVAC box and contents was about 34#......
Flaming River manual steering rack saved anothe 30#......
Just some examples.....

Don't even worry, got the 90/10 lakewoods, Moroso trick springs and adjustable uppers and lowers along with the 'anti-roll' kit,
There is some work in the suspension of my car.......
Along with frame ties with a 6 point bar welded to them (not easy), full race type fuel cell system that will flow 900#'s per hour......
325X15 on rear BTW, hoping to make some test hops end of 8/06.........
