Hell yeah I do!!! Andre suggested that I jump out of my car halfway down the 1/4 mile and have something to hold down the gas pedal to finish the rest of the race. Or get a milk carton and just leave my head in the car, he said that both of those are worth a few 1/10ths.

Unless you go 3000 or better don't even bother. Both Edge and Precision Industries make really good converters.

....but be careful because you can get a converter that's too "loose" for your engine and you won't be happy and performance will suffer.
Since you have a stock cam and heads, I really wouldn't worry about a converter yet. If you get a new converter now and then decide to get different heads or cam later then your converter will no longer be matched to your engine setup....and you will need a different converter.
If you definatly have no plans for future mods then I wouldn't go any higher than a 2500 stall speed.

I'm hoping to get a hell of a difference out of mine lol. I hope that I don't break anything when I'm launching around 3000 rpms, if so oh well, it'll be time to upgrade driveline parts!
When your driveshaft comes through the floor then its just time for some new carpet and floors. I'd suggest a safety loop if your going to be launching at that high of an rpm especially if your running slicks.

who said I had stock heads man? I never had stock heads
In fact my heads are 351 DO0E HEADS , CLOSE chamber, BIG STEEL chevy valves, HEAVILY ported and polished, shaved .10, screw in studs not press in+ high tensile, so they are ready. and this car is not an average 5.0 at all.

intakes are heavily ported as well, and this car Breathes! In fact my heads outflowed gt 40x heads after the machine shop tested.

I AM adding a supercharger this year or in spring(intercooled) , this car will go 12's very easy. Traction wise, yeah I need slicks LIKE NOW LOL, without the blower.

So, I need you guys to factor in all the above plus my 9 psi intercooled blower, METHANOL SETUP MAYBE . I am gonna be at 430 HP MINIMUM and the 4:10 gears get very nasty AND put a crap load of torque down.

You should seriously call Andre, at Edge Converters, and tell him your setup and future plans.
The number is: 1-888-350-3343 Talk to Andre and he will tell you what you need.
It's much better than having people "estimate" what stall you need.

They won't let you on the track, without a safety loop, if you're running slicks. Besides, it's cheap insurance.

First thing I would do, is get a cam. With your setup it would make WORLDS of difference, even if its a letter cam. As for a stall, I have to agree with JD, go at least 3000.
And Zach, if you run slicks at the track, its MANDATORY you have a driveshaft safety loop. Otherwise they wont even let you run.
