Default EFI to Carb : Need Advice

Sounds like either a pro billet or one of those plug and play distributors with the coil on top based on the price.
The place I go (meridian performance) likes the mallory ignition boxes with MSD distributors - mallory is apparently a lot cheaper and they're all digital.
They also provide all of the little bits they need for the dyno tune, assuming the carb uses the standard parts (holley, demon, etc.)

Sounds like a nice setup you've got. Be sure to post some numbers when you get that thing tuned.

yeah it's a pro billet . I have been looking over everything and trying to get an idea of how hard this is going to be. I have all the EFI stuff off except the lower manifold . I think we might start on it tonight and try to have everything on by tomorrow night. But I don't think we can get it running until we have someone that knows what they are doing look at it. The fuel pressure regulator looks alittle hard to figure out haha. I hope it isn't complicated because I'm sick of my mustang setting there gathering dust when it should be pounding the ground. I thought we'd have this things running weeks ago but we haven't had any luck getting people who know what they are doing to help.

As soon as I can get it running and tuned I'll let you know what kind of numbers it will do. i wish i could get some good heads on it , thats the only thing I think is going to hold me back from making some nice power.I hope I can squeeze 250hp , 300lbp out of it like it is now but I dunno I think it'll be a good bit lower because of the crappy 88'heads

Heads are key. CarCraft got 400hp out of a mostly stock 302 with a set of airflow research heads and a carb conversion, using the stock cam. Good luck getting it running. Shouldn't be too hard once you sit down and get at it I wouldn't think.

Yeha I have been reading some of the installation papers with the carb and manifold and it cleared up alot of confusion. Imagine that haha. Hopefully i can get some extra cash save dup and find some heads on ebay or maybe I can score some good ones from one of the Mustang places arouind here. But I am going to pretty much stay with the stock cam because of my pistons.
