Default Upholstery

I'm almost sure that this question won't get an answer but anyways here we go. Does anyone know where i can get front bucket seat upholstery for my 1983 black(interior) gt? I have a small tears on the lower portion of the drivers side that seems to keep getting bigger. It seems like i can find upholstery for 1979/82 and 1985 and up but never specifically for the 1983, which i believe is unique to that year. I'm thinking that i may have to pay an upholstery shop to make something or see if they can repair the old piece. It's really bothering me because besides that tear my interior is mint. Any answers or suggestions would be great. Thanks.

50resto, or else Fox Body Mustang Restoration, otherwise the upholstry shop can duplicate almost anything.

50resto sells fulls sets of upholstery and you write to them and tell them what year you want it for, i emailed them to see if i could purchase only one seat cover. I'm sure the upholstery shop can duplicate what i need, the only problem with that is the price. I don't want to pay hundreds of dollars for a seat cover. I was going to ask a shop if they could repare what i have now. Not sure if they can since the material was orginally sewn very tight and now with the fraid edges, there is less material to work with. The upholstey besides the 5 in tear is perfect. FYI the tear is on on the seat bottom right in the middle, its's on a seem so it will only get worse.

i would bet its less than 200 material and labor for a cover, if you have them repad and steam fit it will be more, i've never done seats but i've heard if you take your time with the cover and work the material it'll go pretty good.

Is it possible to get your seat re-sewn? I'd check with an upholstery shop first.
