Dyno results - AFR 165's and BBK-SSI
Not quite what I was hoping for, gonna have to get a custom cam and finish up the exhaust
and maybe an electric fan too to get up to numbers I was hoping for.
Sounds really mean
Little sluggish off the line but rips in higher rpms.
260rwhp and 300ft/lbs torque
Equip list:
AFR 165's w/ 58cc chamber
stock cam
1.72 rockers
BBK SSI intake
BBK shorty headers
BBK off road H-pipe
24 lbs injectors
155 lph fuel pump
76mm MAF
70mm TB
u/d pullies
14* base timing
air silencer removed w/ K&N filter
Next:
Flowmaster cat-back
Electric fan
Custom grind cam
Should be good for another 15-20rwhp at least.

yea i'd definatly go with custom cam. That would wake that engine up. Go with more duration in the cam so you can still use the 1.7's and not worry bout the pistons.

Wow. Compared to what everyone promises and what everyone swears they pull- that sounds REALLY low. I'm rather surprised that the numbers are so low. Is it possible that you're overfueling with the 24#'s? I hear that the stock 19lbs are good to 300HP supposedly and I have read that the 93 Cobra was bogged down by too LARGE of injectors- and that a 19# swap bumped HP considerably... but I don't know if there's any merrit to that.

A/F ratio were all checked and set with the custom dyno chip tune.
I think the stock mufflers and cat-back are really holding me back
that and the stock cam.
Not letting the heads breathe like they want to.
This dyno run was also done when the outside air temp was a 100+

yea, those AFRs want more lift and duration than that stock cam is wanting to give up. Even with the 1.7's. you could probably find 20+hp in a custom grind.
You got a Aode dont you?

you have all stock exhaust, like stock everything? I Dont really think thats that bad considering you have a stock cam and exhaust in 100 degree weather. My buddies stock fox dynoed like 194whp... Keep the updates comin

are you sure your tires wearent spinning on the rollers?
If you do have a AODE thats going to eat up more hp. The best thing you can do for that is to get rid of it, or just switch the fluid to synthetic fluid at the very least.
