Default tps registering low volts at wot

My TPS is registering 3.9 volts max at WOT and it should be 4.5


this is a new TPS AND slotted FULLY, and adjusted out max.


in relation to the diagram beelow, i couldnt find the appropiate ground for this senor ,as all wires return to the pcm only

unfortunately my throttle cable is not fully opening the throttle to the throttle stop on the throttle body and there are no adjustments to the cable, what can i do?[:@]

Disconnect the cable and see what it registers. That will help you determine if it's the cable or the t/b.

no, there is a bracket that hold the accelertor cable to the TB and when my pedal is floored, its not opening the throttle to the throttle stop,

Yes, I under stand that. But is it b/c of the t/b or the cable? That's why I told you to disconnect it and see what the tps registers. Get it?

I disconnected the cable it registers, .99 at idle, 4.6 at wot .

I understand the tables of acceptance are .99-1.27 idle low and 4.5 -4.7 wot , in the A9P processor.


Im gonna try and figure out how to add a washer to my cable or bootleg it.

Or I might remove the accelerator pedal and bend it outward more under heat to allow further travel.

I believe that on the pedel itself you can change how far the pedel opens the tb should have two circles one top one bottom the top should make it open further let me see if i can get a pic
