Why buy a vehicle if you think that you're going to get into a cash-jam? Buy a bicycle if that's what you're worried about.

I cannot take a bicycle 600 miles to visit my family for holidays. I have also always wanted an LS1. Ever since I discovered them. Now that I have the means to trade my car for one I will take that opportunity. Who wouldnt? honestly.
Sure you can! Just ask Lance Armstrong, he'll tell ya all about it! lol. Who did the tuning on your carb?

seriously though, have you had the motor tested? a compression test would be an idea but a leakdown would tell a guy more about the condition of the engine. could be something in the build that didn't go together correctly. It has been known to happen.

Honestly, the carb needed NO TUNING except the idle circuit. We dynoed it and the AF was PERFECT. bounced from 12.8-13.3 on the dyno and on the street according to wideband. wierd. +1 for Demon I guess.

I wouldn't get rid of the car just yet bro, there's gotta be something wrong with it. What size exhaust are you running?

It is in perfect shape. My compression numbers varied by 7psi at the max and most were dead = with each other (no real high or low cylinders) and it was at 150psi roughly for an avg of all. Not bad for the cam.

What was the advertised HP?

340hp with fuelk injection (I am carb though) I also have 4.10's, a flex fan (cheap and it cools well) and a TKO500, all of which togather has cost me around 25whp put togather.
still carbed technically should make more hp than fuel injection
