Or you could get a fiero & do the ls1 swap to it... Lightweight & a great deal of weight will be over the back tires. If you want to do it, do it. People have their preferences, both engine & cars. I'd do it if I the ls1 was my fav engine & the mustang was my favorite looking car + weight advantage.

first off im a LSX fan hugely.... i like my foxes also

im also going to be dropping my 6.0 from my truck in my hatch...reason ask i got like 2k into that motor and it makes over 500BHP. anybody that knows LSx know it dont take much to make power. a Camm'd only LS1 easily sees low 4XXs to the wheels. for a stang motor to do that it costs alot more

my stang when finished should wieght 2800 with driver. my truck is 4600lbs and goes 12.59s on motor at the moment....so knock off 2k in weight and you got a 10 sec ride in theory. then add the N20 i have for it also

as for headers i havent looked but im sure i could run ls1 headers in my setup with my tubular K member with a stocker you might have issues

makes a lot of since to me if i had an ls1 and notch i would be doing the same thing. i have actually thought about this several times. seriously i think there 6bolt mains strong as blocks easy to make power with and in a light *** notch sounds like a pretty easy decision to me.
also think about it like this i have a 347 stroker with a crap load of money in it and i am hoping to be at a STOCK thats right i said it i am hoping to me at a STOCK ls1's hp. so like i said it sounds like a simple deicision to me. so quik or jd if u know any tips about this swap please feel free to PM me with some information. oh yea i am not brand particular i do what i can to be fast remember they would only stare cause there jealous

Wiring is not that hard. If you get an F-body engine/trans harness you will pretty much have everything you need.

how much would something like that cost? like motor trans and wiring harness? and then what about the clutch set up would it all be chevy or ford? and then what about the driveshaft and various mounts? are they any kits for a swap like this?

I think it is bull****. However I am a true racer and agree with JD.
