high output......and non high output. The important differences between the 302 and 302HO's are forged pistons, 351W firing order (due to cam design) on HO's and heads. The HO's received the better parts and had a slight increase in horsepower and torque because of this. If you are looking for a base engine to tear into, change the pistons, cam and heads don't bother with the HO. All of the parts you will be replacing are the parts that make the HO different.

hahaah,good ****...i called ford and they said that the throttle body is diffrent and heads and intake manifold,oh yea and camshaft...so since im raping my old motor, all i need to do is switch parts...dont know about the heads tho...

Ok,so if i get this non HO with roller rockers, the guy said the firing order is 1-5-4-3-6-2-7-8 so all would have to do is switch the plug wires around to match the HO right? oh yea and switch cams...
