When I get the blower installed I will not even get into boost until I get it tuned. Not worth taking the chance. If I ever do split this block a R351 is going in that biatch

man dont worry about that, just run reasonable boost and ull be fine. If u do blow ur bottom end just get all forged **** and crank the boost way up I'm planning on running about 8psi...
Now dont laugh, but in terms of boost, wouldnt the crank and connecting rods have a much higher effect on how much boost the engine could hold than the pistons? It seems to me the forged pistons wouldnt really help more against boost than normal, or would it?

Ohh I definetly get what your saying... trust me; When I DO get my blower it will be in the back of my head allllllllll them time that I have hyper pistons lol Im already nervous about it and I dont even have the blower yet

the pistons are closest to the combustion is why they matter. hyper pistons are more brittle and have less "give" in them. so if the motor has any detonation, the hypers are more like to shatter, whereas the forged will take more to destroy. hyper-think glass, its brittle and will shatter. forged-think aluminum, detonation isnt good for it but it will bend before it breaks

My car weighed in at 3420 lbs at the track a few weeks ago... that was also with my fat *** in it (195lbs). the car ALSO has some BIG wheels and tires on it.... 275/40/17 and 315/35/17... so that has alot to do with the weight.
my car weighs 3200 dry (meaning no gas)

Let me start with saying I love fox's and plan on eventually owning one myself but seriously stop slamming on people for their choice, I bought a sn for the looks and all of the blelow, if i wanted a 5.0 for straight acceleration i would have bought a fox, acually i would own a 4-eye(i love em) .
Sn 95s are not PIGS... Im getting really tired of hearing people talk trash about them... The weight of a sn95 is in the same weight class as any modern mustang, and so what if the fox is 4-500lbs lighter slap a extra 30hp on a sn and they're the same. PLUS with a sn-95 you get a better suspension, 4-wheel disk breaks, a MUCH more modernised and efficent engine, a sound proof interior, bucket seats, AREODYNAMICS, and alot of updated electronics ranging from the window motors through the ecu, and more...
seriously,
95 Mustang GT = 3350lbs
Domestics...
GTO = 3725lbs
Camero = 3390lbs
Corvette = 3229lbs
Firebird = 3373lbs
Imports...
350z = 3217lbs
SRT4 = 2900lbs
Integra gs-r = 2667lbs
Supra = 3415lbs
Talon TSI = 3120lbs
Civic ex(couldnt find si deatils) = 2553lbs
audi tt = 2655lbs
Sorry had to say it, not looking to start a argument just want to make a point...

This was from the gn thread: 88blackgt "and 30hp isnt going to come anywhere CLOSE to making up 400 or 500 lbs. im not sure if it could even overcome 100 lbs." Adder already said his car (sn95) weighed in at 3200 lbs
