Turbo it.
The stock block is still good up to 500, if not higher.
I would personally go with the BG Turbo kit.
Its 3k, and with proper tuning people have been getting to 700hp.
Save the rest for future repairs, replacements because the turbo will essentially turn your car into a time bomb.
Alot of people go years without issues, some have them withen weeks.

Iwould stick with your plan then when you add a power adder it will be sick.
I just want to let you know that $570 for a mass air conversion is crazy. I got 1 for my dad for $100, got a A9L for $50 then the pigtail, sensor and bracket. You can get a used 75mm for $50-$75 on ebay, just make sure he guarentes it works, I have 1 for sale for $75 but calibrated for 19#'s. You need a A9P or alternate. Holley is better than the trick flow but AFR is way better. You can get an A9P for $100 on ebay, $75 for 75-76mm mass air sensor, $25 for the pigtail. You won't need a bracket if you have a cold air intake. Thats only $200 and you have an upgraded sensor. its only 4 wires to splice.
