I live just outside of Tulsa Oklahoma, and Stangs have always been high around here. You can get 5k for a pretty clean fox. I found two on a local lot, one was a coupe, asking 5k, needs paint and tires, one was a vert, asking 5600, and needed an interior. This sucks! Anybody got a running fox they would be willing to sell within an hour or two?

I would make the trip if one of our members was able to see the car and make a recommendation. I would trust them to be able to tell me if the car was worth the money. I would like to drive it home, or I could load it on my trailer. But I dont want to drive to Dallas to and drive home dissapointed in what I found. Did enough of that before I found mine.

Well here's my take. My oldest son will be 16 in April. He will NOT be driving anything performance oriented. Seen too many times what can happen. Responsible or not, kids are kids and they will test the limits of even a beater car. (I know this cuz I was one)Just my .02 on this matter.

Buy her a 4cyl mustang thats in good shape for a chassis donor... let her learn the ins and outs of that, upgrade brakes, chassis, and suspension while she's at it, then when she gets some experience under her belt, swap in a 5.0...
