No, they arent rusted on the threads. Its the heads that are rusting so I want to replace them with something that wont rust just for looks.
Well if you do put stainless bolts in there just know that you might have a REALLY hard time getting them apart, even with anti-sieze on them.

no way....stainless bolts are mostly grade 5 bolt unless noted also with heat cycles then tend to corrode and become very hard to loose and break..we have this problem with tobacco machine we sent to china

So if stainless wont work because of the chemical reaction what can I use that wont rust and look bad?

thought that was Nair????

just get some Black anadized header bolts and change them or get some high heat paint and just repaint the bolt heads

I spoke to a representative from ARP today and he said the stainless ones do cause a chemical reaction but not if anti-seize is used. He said that is why anti-seize should always be used on spark plugs in aluminum heads. I bought the stainless header bolts.

just polish the header bolts and put some antiseize on the threads and call it a day..
