Default what heads are these?

my friend bought these heads off ebay and they were suppose to be gt40's not p's but they have no smog holes. i think they might be 2 diferent heads. can you guys check em out these are the castings he gave me.

aww man thats a good question. I looked for those casting numbers but didnt get anything, my next step would be to call a ford parts suplier.

Ford part numbers would start with E7TE, OR D5TE

The E7 is the code they used for 1987. E meant it's 1980 something. The 7 was for the 7 in 1987.

D7 would be for a 1977.

F7 would be for 1997. It's a fairly simple pattern as far as that end of it goes.

So my point is the numbers you have aren't helpful. Look for numbers that begin like the ones above.

I think they'd be stamped rather than cast in.

these are the numbers he gave me. do all gt40 heads come drilled for smog can these be from a lighnting.

also one head says "hancho de mexico" the other one does not. so again do all true gt40's (non p) have provisions for smog? these heads have the 3 bars on the front. also when we tried to bolt up the 1.7 rockers i gave him, they did not fit, the pushronds on some lifters were not lomg enough and had 1/4" play while others were fine. we put back on the e7's because of the smog thing and all the rockers adjusted and torqued down even and without incident. what gives?
