2006 mustang GT vs. 86 GT
To be honest, what would it really take to hands down beat a 2006 mustang GT off the showroom floor? Family member just bought one and I need to make sure I still the faster.

I say a cheap HCI ( budget ) and a small spray, maybe a 50-75 shot, and you'll definatly have him. Its possible to get 300RWHP with a budget HCI, and with that shot, you should have around 325-350RWHP, thats plenty to take him out. You could even take him with 300 and gears....

I was thinking some U/L control arms, Drag radials, and a 125 wet shot. How does this sound. I thought the weight difference would play into my favor. By the way, his car is an automatic.

convert to speed density, and do a gt40 head and intake swap from a wrecked explorer. get some long tube headers, all that will give ya about 300ish HP
He has 250 rwhp 270 lb rwtq and you have like 180 rwhp, BIG gap. Lets loose the imagination here.
125 SHOT ONLY, with your timing down to 7 degrees. youll walk on him 2 lenghts. Screw the arms, if you can hook , you got him.
And dont believe that show room floor crap!
Our delearship can do a CAI, Underdrives and Tune and give them things an extra 25 rwhp, while adding the cost into the loan. It only takes 10 minutes and is very common.
The car is in no way slow at all.

oh buddy, dont underestimate those 05/06 gt's, they come factory with 3.55 gears & about 270rwhp, they are heavier but they run mid 13's. and from going to the track the automatics are actually out running the sticks, they're getting better ET's. youd need a h/c/i swap and a good tune and you should beat him.
