me and my dad had to drop the tank of my 88 3times to replace a bad fuel pump..it wasnt that bad...what we did was put the back of the car on ramps first..then we used2 jacks(1 on each side) and a board going across them we jacked it up to go againist the gas tank then loosened the bolts and lowered the jacks and the tank with them...it was nothing we had the tank down in less then a half hour...good luck
