fuel question
so yah, i have this sweet *** ride, mint condition, just bought it, but its got a fuel prob somewheres, and i'm hoping maybe its a mustang specific problem.
anytime i hit 4k RPM and above, the fuel system dies to the point where you think you're running out of gas. it also does that same thing going around corners hard, and you can smell gas in both instances. also any time a fuel fill of more than 10 gals(i dont know the levels, gauge don't work) you can smell gas for at least a day.

the leak and smell when turning is from your fuel filler neck seal being bad.
the filler neck just slides into the tank and there is a gasket there that goes bad.
pretty common to spill gas when turning when its bad.
other problem just sounds like bad fuel pump or fuel filter.
I would try changing both and see if it fixs it.

i dont have that issue at 4k but i didtn start having that issue till about 3 days ago, my car wants to die like its not getting any fuel but im about 95% sure its gas i got, because it didnt happen till i filled up at shell. only way i can fix it is put it in neutral and keep revving till it responds to me giving it gas. either its the fuel filter(which is brand new but could possibly be blocked with trash) or my fuel pump maybe going out. either way im going to drop the tank next week.
