Default wheel hop issue

85 GT 5spd, 3.73's with KYB's and Moog cargo coil's. Gettin bad wheel hop when i'm on it. Not dumpin the clutch or anything, just getting on it. It's not even throwin down that much power. I knwo their are a million reasons that could happen but any suggestions? thanks!

I posted the same thing about 3 months back. Everyone on here is gonna say replace your control arms. I got some Granatellis off of ebay for $175 for Uppers and Lowers. Because its raining, I havent installed them yet. As soon as I do, I'm gonna roast em and see if she hops around. I would pick up those first. They are a quick install.

Now I just need a garage, so I can get out of the rain.

I run stock rear lower arms and have no problems. Im willing to bet the your quad shocks are dead. The 2 horizontally mounted shocks are there to prevent wheel hop, if theyre bad itll hop like crazy. Replace those and you shouldnt have any more problems.

+1 the quad shocks control wheel, yours are probably bad.

if you upgrade your control arms i hear you dont need quads anymore... so which ever route you take should solve the prob... either upper and lower arms, or new quad shocks... id do the control arms, and remove the quads, so ya can fit a fatter tire back there...
