85 GT Ignition Module ??
On the inner driver's side fender in the engine compartment there is a module that says "Duraspark Ignition Tested Tough". One of the wires that plugs into the bottom is molded right into the connector and the wires are bad.
Where the heck can I find a connector like this so I can splice a new one in ?

RE: 85 GT Ignition Module ??
Nice - another 85 GT Vert owner My car is all stock and only 39k miles so I'm not much help on the actual fix - but I do know somebody on ebay sells a MSD Ignition enhancement kit. Just search ebay for 1985 Mustang Ignition and you'll find it. If I remember correctly the kit comes with a new distributor (or maybe just the cap) plug wires, and the ignition module with wiring.
Well, sorry it doesn't include the ignition box. But I'm sure you can get that from MSD as well.

RE: 85 GT Ignition Module ??
Thanks for the info. I would really prefer to keep it original but I don't know what I'm going to do if I can't find a connector. I did find a complete wiring harness for $400.00 (used out of an 85 coupe). I really would hate to spend that kind of money for a connector that is 21 yrs old.
Anyway, my vert is getting all redone. Body is being done now (new paint and top) and I dropped of the engine this morning for a freshening up. I have 75,000 miles on mine (and I thought mine was low miles). Mine is red with grey interior and white top. I think I'm going to go with a new black top though. Everything else on the car is completely original.
Thanks again,
Dave
