T-5 rumors / questions
ok i'm tired of jumping from post to post trying to answer questions about the T-5 so i'm making a post for people to ask questions here. hopefully it'll be easier than post hoping to help people out. the only thing i will not take responability for is grinding dog teeth off the syncros, this is hard and should be left to people that know what they are doing. i will explain it if i'm asked but i highly suggest not doing it yourself send the tranny to hanlon motorsports to do it (t-5 experts)... any way with that said if you have a question feel free to ask no matter how dumb you think it is. and it you have arumor you heard and you want to to clearify it to damn bad j/k i'll do my best on the rumors. if i don't know the answer to your question i'll point you in the direction of someone that can or i'll do the research to find out

I think my dog would bite me if i grinded his teeth.......Well my old dog, he died last week, big ol sucker, he had his fair share of biting people.....

i got a quick question i am thinking about buying a t-5 a guy says it can hold up to 500 + hp but is there any way that i can acutally find out what kind of gears it has in it becuase i know there are gears taht hold like 540 600 750 and all that but i cna't be fore sure that this isn't a stock t-5.

a stock t-5 is rated at 500 hp... and the only way i know of to find out what gears are in there are open it up and count the teeth on each gear... the stronger gears are generaly a longer gear than the stock ones, other than counting the teeth i would ask for a reciept for the parts/ labor done
