Default Tighting up an 89 LX......Help

Ok you guys I am looking at picking up a 89 LX 5.0 A/T for a daily driver. And I started thinking about my budys 89 GT I got to drive, the damb thing shifted quickly and had a nice smooth throttle responce as compaired to stock. Witch if I remeber right was due to a shift kit, cold air intake, and a bigger throttle body. So I decided that these three mods should done to my LX when I get it. What I need help with is what shift kit should I run? What cold air intake to use, and what size throttle body is going to work with said CAI and still give me that smooth responce? If you have links to these items that would be great!.

Just trying to make the beast a bit more reliable, efficient, fun.....

Thanks in advance......Nelson

i wouldnt go bigger than a 65mm TB since there will be nothing else done to the car, and i dont think a 70mm TB will fit correctly on a stock intake. For the CAI, it doesnt really matter, check out ebay and get a cheap one. Mostly everyone has a bbk but they arent worth the price, your pretty much payin for the name.

I have 4.10's and i do mostly freeway driving and i still get 21 mpg average....i think its actually higher than before i put the 4.10's in..wierd but it used to be only 19mpg at most. i love the 4.10's, i wont know my top speed till i get my car back from the shop sometime this week, my tranny went out about a week and a half ago, so we had the mechanic fix up the tranny, transgo shift kit, 2200 stall converter i think and he rebuilt the tranny. You'd probably be happy with the 4.10s though...if not go 3.73s or 3.90s

Yes Jake it is sick! An no I am not racing your *** until the Capri is finished, and that is only if you don't add a blower...... Also I will calling you later to talk about those parts.

Now here is a list of links to parts I am considering, what do you think?

Trans Go Shift kit....

FMS Cobra intake U/L

65 MM Throttle Body

The Cold Air Intake...

Now what is the largest TB I can run on a stock manifold? If I do get the cobra intake should I run the 65 or the 70 MM TB. Witch one will give me that nice smooth pedal controle?

And as for the 4.10's, well let me get the car first and I'll go from there. But I hope to be in 23-28mpg range like the family's Town Car.
