Thanks for the reply. It truly is a shame and although I cannot relate and didn't know the guy, I am empathetic. I am glad to hear that it wasn't something HE did, but that type of situation is bitter sweet. Freak accidents happen but to loose your life to some other schmucks mistake, well......it don't get worse than that. Your boy sounds like he had some good friends and I'm sure he still lingers around ...... I'll have a beer to a fallen comrade tonight. "To Mr. Rob!"

lol, yeah, we've had a lot of beers to him, lol, and yeah, I see more and more how much he was loved as I see "In Memory of Robert H Western, 11/06/85-03/04/06" decals all over cars. Yeah, and the dumb *** that was driving has been exiled from our group of friends, that dumbass, granted he has to live with killing a friend all his life, but his choice to run that red light.

Thats true, but Rob should not have gotten into a car with a drunk driver (if he was drunk)
I think its very cool what you guys do for him, I would like the same thing from my friends. RIP.

yeah agreed completely, I think about that a lot about how he's not 100% responsible, but honestly the guy did kill a friend, and its hard to forgive someone for that. Especially when it was one of your really good friends that he killed.

you recognize my car?
I was just behind a vehicle (here in the heights) and I saw that it had Robert Western's name on the back. It touched me so and I just registered here to say that.

RE: For my boy robert!
I had a similar situation in my town a few years back. A good friend was killed when he and his future brother-in-law were out joy riding in his brother-in-laws new mustang. He lost control and flipped it killing my friend instantly and the other guy walked away without a scratch. My friend owned probably the fastest mustang in our area by far. It was a foxbody LX. He was a great guy, his funeral procession was all mustangs, his father refused to ride in the limo to the grave site, he drove his sons LX to the grave site. His dad was followed by 25-30 other mustangs. It sounded as if a tornado was coming down the street because of the exhausts on all of them. In tribute, his dad lead a burnout at the grave site followed by all 25-30 other mustangs, NON-STOP, just a steady line of mustangs with smoke coming from the tires. His dad has not devoted his sons LX to a all out drag car. Last I heard he was competeing and I think running in the low to mid 8's on a car that is still streetable if he wanted.
There is no disrespect, the only disrespect is not pay tribute to a fallen friend. Remeber him and let him know that you guys still think of him always, SMOKEM' UP!!!!!

Yeah bro, it's good to hear we're not the only one with that ritual. Same thing happend at hours almost identicaly. Roberts mom drives his 89 Faleen around all over. Anyway, as for charges to Tony, his trial keeps on getting postponed. The New Mexico Judicial System sucks!
