Default GT40P Heads

Im thinking seriously about adding some gt40p heads to my car. Do you really have to have different headers. I have longtubes now and I really like my exhaust system. The headers dont have a name on them anywhere. They do not have a plate that runs across them. The tubes look like they have a decent amount of room inbetween them. I have heard that it really doesnt matter what kind of headers you use when using long tubes. What do you guys think? Thanks

From what I heard.
The GT40P heads required a different header because of where the spark plugs are located.
And it doesn't clear or something like that.

I have the gt40p's on my car. I have the ford p50 ss headers. Mac also makes a set that works. They gave me a good increase in power but not as much as what I expected. I have 10:1 with a Comp cam .512 270/276 duration. Spend the extra money on a good set of afr 165's.
