no one has bothered to mention that a narrow band o2 gauge is worth absolutly nothing and will not give you any information other then the o2s are working or not. you cant use it for tuning or checking to make sure the car is running correctly because th guage is constantly jumping around. its a glorified light show
OK I'll call bs like I always do on this topic. Does the gauge funtion well enough for tuning. NO! Does it function well enough to let you know there is a lean/rich issue, YES! Mine has alerted me a couple times there was an issue that either poor drivability or the cel didn't show up.

So bust on them all you want, I'm glad I have one.

If you don't have cats, can you still use the air/fuel ratio gauge? Because I plan on getting one for my car also.

Even without cats, you still havetwo O2 sensors that hook up to your O/R pipe.

So does a narrowband sensor has a very small range that it reads, so the numbers are all over the place and mustangs use wideband?

no, mustangs do not use a wideband. they use a narrow band. which I also feel is useless... especially on a boosted car.

Not to rag on you pro.. but in a REAL high boost application... like a DSM running 30psi.. if thet air fuel gauge even gets a chance to go into the lean... its already to late to save your motor!

Do people ever change from narrow band to wideband like the kits they have to go from SD to MAF?

Dude it's ok. You don't see combo's like that here much and I wouldn't expect someone w/ such a combo to use a narrow band gauge. That gauge will serve a purpose for most of the applications running on this board. Trust me, when I have an extra 400 laying around I'll swap mine out. But for now I have a good tune that I can trust and a wideband isn't necessary right now.

i've also been interested in looking at Air fuel ratio gauges for my new setup, i was thinkin a gauge for each bank. 2 gauges in the center vents, 1 for each wideband.
