Another In-Line Fuel Pump Question
I would like to install an In-Line fuel pump on my car. It does run a little lean with a 200-250 shot because its pulling so much fuel from the schrader valve that its starving the injectors of fuel. That whats Johnny "Lightning" Walker told me last time I got my car tuned.
Heres what he told me to do to solve the problem without buying a better fuel system:
Buy a 3/8" T
Cut the main 3/8" fuel feed line and installed the T fitting
Buy a Universal In-Line fuel pump that flows at least the same lph as the In-tank pump or more.
Run a 3/8" hose from the In-line pump directly to the fuel seliniod using a barb fitting
Plug off the schrader valve.
Johnny Walker definatly knows whats he talking about but I just wanted to make sure this will work.
Whats your opinion on this?

RE: Another In-Line Fuel Pump Question
the second pump is still pulling fuel from the same source, it might work, dont have any experience yet though, will probably be trying the same thing in the summer, let me know how it works.

RE: Another In-Line Fuel Pump Question
I'm not going to waste my time and money hooking all this stuff up if its not going to work.
Someone tell me what I need to buy to keep from running lean/
Fuel Rails ?
Fuel Pump ?
Fuel Lines ?

RE: Another In-Line Fuel Pump Question
Your car is only running lean when you hit the nitrous button. So get a larger fuel (not NOS) jet. This will make up for the injectors running leaner with the drop of fuel pressure. An adjustable FPR can also help.

If I run a bigger fuel jet I will pull even more fuel thru the schrader valve causing it to run even leaner.
BTW: The pump is a Walbro 255lph.
