I am installing new clutch packs in my T Lock. I was wondering if anyone knew how to figure out which shim to use on the outside of the pack. As of right now I am going to measure the shim thats in their and put a new one of the same size in it.

Can you do me a quick favor while you have your rebuild kit out... count how many teeth are on the steel pieces that go in between the clutches... Ive counted the ones shown on fordracingparts.com and they have 23 teeth... wtf!

I havent had my carrier apart so im not sure if there are supposed to be more or less splines.... it makes me confused..

oh to answer your question i pack mine as tight as possible. i change the pattern to add a extra clutch to each side.

stock is clutch,steel,steel,clutch,steel,steel,clutch,shim
mine are clutch,steel,clutch,steel,clutch,steel,clutch,shim

Adder that spine hit the side spider gear not the axle. That is why there is less of them.

rsw007 do you know what size shim you put in? And is that setup as strong as the factory (in terms or the "steel" breaking)?

now rsw, r u still on the mostly suspension, very minor motor mod? or have u done motor work now? reason i ask, is wondering if thats ur 60 w. ur suspension alone and stock motor, or do u spray off the line? regardless, those are some good numbers man
