Default 331 turbo 15psi vs. 427alum.

Im working on a 5-10 year project. but before i get to far I need to know what engine to build. I know the 331 will have more power but this is for street toy and road corse. the short blocks are 5500 331 or 7500alum. top end 331 $5000 427 same but the 331 has the 5,500 single turbo kit.
the car will have a full MM maxgrip box,4pistion brakes,tko600 and 8point cage.
both engines willrun on pump gasand not rev. past 6500rpm.The 331 will have700-800hpthe alum. 427 625-725hp

I would like you thoughts on what will be better for my style?

Ok since no one said anythang im thinking 427 because the bost of the turbo hitting in a turn could be bad. Has any one had both a blown car and a big inch400in+ car? what do you like best on both and dilikes?

thank you !

I say go with the 427. There is nothing like the simplicity of a Big inch small block. With a turbo you got alot more **** that can go wrong. JMO.

Also nothing like good ole torque the 427 will make.

yeah good luck with that;
also i would go 331 because it weighs less.

If you stick with the 95 body, I would go with the 331. Trying to get a 427 in there is going to be a b*tch.

it is my understanding that a 9.5 dart block is only 2in wider then a 302 dart block. is this wrong?

will the 331 plus turbo, piping, intercooler still weigh less then a 427 big bore 9.5 ?

351W blocks fit just fine.

For the street a 427 will be lots of fun with massive low end torque

the 331 will accelerate and spool up faster though due to less rotating mass.

bit of give and take for each one. why not put a 10psi turbo on the aluminum 427
and have the best of both worlds?

stock iron 351W block weighs about 100lbs more tha stock 302 iron block
no idea on aluminum.
