Default Clutch cable problems, any ide

I have a 92 gt with a T-5 tranny and stock replacement clutch. Over the past 2 yrs I have snapped two clutch cables and have had another come off the quadrant. Now im not sure what the possible problems could be so if anyone has any ideas before I rip it out and switch to an automatic let me know.

have you replaced the quadrant? sometimes the quadrant will stretch the cable because of too much tension caused by over ratcheting.
