Default Good High Performance Chip

I want to get a high performance chip for my mustang. I called Advanced Auto Parts and they say some Hypertech chip that is $275. I couldn't find it but is there anything better out there? I just want a chip that plugs right in. Its a 1995 Mustang GT 5 speed

I just got a JET chip for my 94 5spd. It didn't really give me much more top end but it definetly gave me a fatter powerband! I couldn't even touch Fastmans mustang with out it, then I put it in, drove it for about 100 miles till it would idle right again, then I raced him and I hung right with him the whole time. I even started pulling on him in 3rd gear! I swear by it, custom chip is the best way to go, but if your car is stock (chips dont work good with lots of mods i guess cuz it made fastmans car run like crap) then its a pretty good option.

Well I guess just go with the SuperChips chip.Since you'rewasting your money on pointless ****might a suggest a turbonator? If these things really worked, why don't you read about it in 5.0 mustangs and superfords or muscle mustangs and fast fords??? But what do I know?

I understand what your saying, but nobody knows exactly. Everybody does their own things, i've actually experienced a 5.0 with just a intake and a chip and it ran amazing. It's what i want to do and i don't know how else to say it but if you are gonna stay in here and just dog on what i want to get then just keep whatever to yourself. It's from personal experience why i want a chip and it's also what i want to do so im going to do it.

Now anybody else? I want to see what else is out there

A chip does do something. It advances your timing. You are right that it does increase the hp and makes it a smoother ride. All that everyone is saying is that you can do the same thing for free. And if you insist on having a chip, then get a custom chip burnt for your car. It'll cost a bit more than the box chips, but it will actually be worth it. Good Luck on whatever you decide.
