Default gt40 heads

as i was told to use gt40 heads ported to achieve my goal of 300 rwhp using a e303 cam cobra intake 1.7 rockers 65 mm t body and a 73 mm maf on a 306. but has anyone ever had a valve clearance issue using the 1.7rr with the stock valve size of cast iron gt40 heads

that should give u atleast 310 hp and i would go with a 70mm throttle body incase you did some more work on the car this way theres no restricton if you want more power and so you dont have to buy another one
good luck

1.7's WILL NOT fit under stock valve covers, unless you remove the baffles

first I doubt it will make 300 rwhp maybe in the 270 range...they make the double like valve covers gaskets for added clearance...
