Classic SN95

This question is probably getting old but I've done my research and I am still not sure. Can I put the 4r70w transmission from my 03 Towncar in my 94 Mustang GT 5.0 in place of my AODE, if so what do I need to make it happen? I've considered just rebuilding or replacing my original tranny but I've read that the 4r70w is a pretty nice upgrade in every way, and since I already have 1 I was hoping I can use it. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks so much....

is an 03 towncar not a 4.6?

From my research,quite a few things on the transmission itself have to be changed as well as other things.If you haven't read the thread in the link below,it explains some of these needed changes.

I would go with the manual shift myself, but those controllers sound pretty cool if they can ever be gotten right. I think what held me up was the converter. those are pretty expensive if you get a pretty decent one. That and an auto car is different is different than a manual in the trans tunnel on a fox
