What are some of my first steps on puttin some speed behind my stock 5.0?

gears, headers, exhaust.

Gears is first and headers and exhaust, if you want more grunt.

yep and then some nitrous unless you plan on modding more then save for Heads cam and intake

+1 and I went with an SC and intakefirst and then heads/cam/stroker, but in hindsight I should have done heads/cam first before the SC.
