5/30 is fine....I run that in my other cars.
You will get a error code if TPS is out of range and you car will not idle right, or in my experence, wont rev very quick.
A bad PCV will causeblown seals(oil pan, valve cover) and oil leaks. Might also pop out your dipstick. It is there to relieve crank case pressure made by blowby ect....if it doesn't work, you will build pressure and do damage to seals possibly

Could be burn out....you can get your codes read at Auto Zone for free if you think there is someting wrong. You still have a factory wirering harness right...like the one for a V/8 swapped in?
